The Divine Manifestation of Kindness: A Christian Call to Compassion

Since the compassion that the Holy Spirit feels within and manifests in actions outside of the body, kindness among Christians is derived from within. Stunting others with kindness is a wonderful way of showing them how loving God is. Being empathetic is not the same as understanding another person's pain and relieving them of it with sensitivity guided by the Spirit. Offerings, words of wisdom, prayers said aloud, greetings, or affirmations are a few examples of acts of kindness. In order to redeem sinners and develop saints, God, in His tremendous generosity, offered His son Jesus.

Indeed, we are the Most High's sons and daughters! How wonderful it is to have the abundance of grace, knowledge, love, forgiveness, and sanctity that our heavenly Father has to provide. His generosity brings us to repentance, helps us develop as people, and gets us into heaven.

Has something wronged you? Think about returning the favor if that is the case. Show compassion when dealing with unpleasant people. Offer sincere support to a person who is experiencing disappointment. Give your server a substantial tip and inquire about their well-being. Without offering advice, acknowledge your friend's feelings. Give your house to people who require a secure and safe haven. Being welcomed makes one kind. React graciously to the unkind; not everyone will return the favor; some will take advantage of you.

Treat your spouse with kindness if you think they are having an emotional breakdown. Treat your child with kindness if they made a bad choice. Show compassion to people who hold different political opinions than you. Treat a coworker kindly if they are not doing their fair share of the work. Show kindness to those who are cruel, elderly, disabled, illiterate, and immigrants. Goodwill restores and inspires hope. Above all, your generosity extends an invitation to God's generosity!
