Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another beautiful new week.

The truth is needed for our country. In our society, we tend to symptoms rather than looking for the real cause. We rarely address the underlying cause of an issue because we are always eager to fix its outward manifestations. Instead of looking for and treating the cause, we grab a few tablets as a temporary solution. Not a weak economy, a lack of tolerance, a lack of gun control, or any other factor, but sin is the fundamental source of the issues facing our country.

John advised us not to be duped, and Jesus forewarned us that deceptive days would come (Matthew 24). Fraud, slander, deception, and pretense are all around us. It's challenging to tell the truth from lies. How are we going to know for sure? The articles we read are untrue if they contradict God's Word. The reports we hear are false if they contradict what He says. When the deeds we observe do not align with the values of the Lord, those people are dishonest. The pious will behave morally.

Let's identify sin for what it truly is: a disobedience to God's rules and a disgrace to our people and country (Proverbs 14:34). Let us point with unwavering resolution to the one solution to the issue—the bloodshed of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
