Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another beautiful new week.
As we await the second coming of Jesus Christ, we have been living in the Last Days for two millennia. The clock is running out. Moving into the delivery room more than two millennia ago was the prophetic clock. It is uncertain for the young couple who find out they are expecting when they will finally meet their little bundle of joy. They recognize that they will have nine months to be ready for the baby's arrival. A nursery is set up, they choose a name, attend doctor's appointments, and love baby showers. Its signals of approaching arrival are met with celebration. They welcome their eagerly anticipated child at the scheduled time.
Many people in our community opt to disregard the indications that Jesus will soon arrive. They hold fast to the idea that nobody can predict the day or the hour of His return. But every hour that goes by brings us one step closer to the day when God's trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ will rise, and the rest of us who are still alive will be taken up to meet Him in the air. Praise be! Refrain from becoming sidetracked. He has simply waited because He wants everyone to know how much He cares. Keep your eyes open and get ready for His coming. God has made a riddle clear. Everything is ready for the much anticipated return of our King.
