Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another beautiful new week.

This frequently cited quotation from Abraham Lincoln's most well-known address reads, "A house divided against itself will not stand." He used the exact passage from Scripture, and his point is still valid today. "America would collapse from the inside out if it were to fall," he stressed. This nation is ruining itself on numerous levels due to its pride and conceit in its self-reliance and self-deception. We think we can handle all of these problems by ourselves. We can fix the economy, fix the racial problems, fix our broken educational system, and make amends for everything. We have the power to elevate America. And none of that is true!

Jesus said we couldn't do anything without Him (John 15:5). Jesus needs to be put back where He belongs, not in a book that is gathering dust on the coffee table. We must let His transforming power to enter our bodies, minds, souls, and hearts. The truth of God's Word is what makes the difference; we don't need truth that makes us feel at ease. A takeover by a denomination is not necessary. Having a certain political party in power is not necessary. We do not require one more viewpoint. As one country under God, we must submit to Him until freedom reverberates from sea to shining sea!
