Mid Week: The Transformative Power of Brokenness in Spiritual Growth

Prayer was a habit rather than a requirement prior to brokenness. Our camaraderie was not pleasant and revitalizing. Before brokenness, our own efforts could account for our lives. The outcomes of resurrection power harvesting were nonexistent. Rather, the outcome stemmed from our own weakness. A subdued spiritual arrogance existed before to brokenness, which served to impress or terrify people with our "wisdom" rather of directing them toward the source of wisdom.

The journey to blessings begins with brokenness. There is some difficulty and even pain involved, but overall, it serves as a bridge to the depths of God's love and connection. In reality, brokenness sets us up for success even though it appears to be a failure at first. To be useful to its riders, a sleek, strong-willed, and unyielding stallion must be broken. If not, its aimless energy destroys everything in its path and terrifies everyone it encounters. Heaven's taming is necessary for us to reach our greatest potential.

A broken spirit and a broken will are two very different things. God wants to break your will, not break your spirit on a regular basis. His intention is to subdue your obstinacy. Don't disobey God. One way or another, He will get His way in the end. We have two options: cooperating with Him or opposing Him.

Brokenness-free, we miss the greatest of the Lord. Though not without making mistakes along the way, we advance. We sometimes need a long time to "get it," and we will occasionally repeat our blunders. Some of us, though, require God's intense love to fall upon us in order to be broken. Our Christian lives seem to pass us by without much thought, unless He calls us to account. Behavioral correction is our default option, rather than Christ utilizing His resurrection power to live His life through us. Our bad habits never change.

Your life ought to be very distinct from everyone else's. People ought to wonder about the steadily flowing love, grace, mercy, power, and serenity from your existence. Brokenness does not exist if the Holy Spirit's fruit is absent. Ask God to shatter your will rather than your spirit. Hope is found in your spirit. God and your spirit communicate. Your subdued soul has faith in Him. Give yourself up and allow God to transform you into the likeness of His son, Jesus Christ. He creates what he breaks. And God creates wonderful things!
