Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another beautiful new week.

Images of end-of-the-world catastrophes, mushroom clouds looming over cities, and apocalyptic scenarios instantly spring to mind when the term "apocalypse" is spoken. A nuclear war, the end of the planet, or a terrifying, end-of-the-world judgment are not what the apocalypse is. Greek words meaning "to pull back, unveil or the holy disclosure of information or knowledge" are the source of the English word "apocalypse." Daniel was shown what awaited him on the other side of time when the hand of God opened the curtain of time in the book of Daniel. Through this exposure, He revealed Himself to be the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega.

There are moments when we lose ourselves in the notes on the page and forget to appreciate the music. The goal of the apocalypse is not to bewilder us or overwhelm us with graphic details. Those of us who are followers of Jesus have reason to be hopeful and confident. God remains completely in charge and seated on His throne. God will remain in authority even after the last earthly leader gives his final speech. No government is able to remove Him. Scientists are unable to refute Him. He cannot be overruled by a judge. He has made His plans known to us so that we can anticipate the promised deliverance by His Son, Jesus Christ, and be ready.
