Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to another beautiful day.
There are moments when one should run and moments when one should remain firm. Be certain that your motivation for both is founded in trust. When it's necessary to stand and fight, resist the urge to give in to the pressure of others and flee. Believing in God could require you to do some awkward things. Don't flee merely out of fear of being physically assaulted. Anyone can go, but if you have confidence in God, you should stay. Together with your Savior, hold fast. When you feel like running, trust in Jesus.
A plot of Satan's is mistrust. He can sway our decisions with silly ideas if he can cause us to lose trust in our heavenly father. The devil is tolerant. He is aware that a small amount of mistrust might grow into a great deal of mistrust. On the surface, bad advice can be rather deceptive. This is your chance to make a decision that will allow your trust to meet God's faithfulness. You won't find sanctuary in Christ if you flee. Thus, maintain your composure.
Standing firm in our relationship with our Savior is the source of stability. But mistrust is like a foolish bird. It just flutters around, responding to any distraction as its only goal. A startled sparrow is not particularly noteworthy. With the people, mistrust is like a little dot on a mountain. When confronted with unpleasant individuals or bad situations, anyone can flee and hide. Is our religion based on convenience or does it demonstrate complete trust? Strong faith endures forever.
"Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise in the assembly of the godly. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation." - Psalm 149:1-4"
