Today let us learn on how phishing works.

Phishing is where the attackers deceive people into revealing sensitive information by installing malware or virus in the targets device.

• Here are steps to understand how phishing works :

1] Planning : Criminals that is the Phishers, decide the targets and attack by sending spam email to the targets.

2] Set up : Once the phisher decides the target to spoof, they create methods for delivering the scam messages to trick the victims and collecting the data about the target.

3] Attack : After collecting data via email address and webpage of target, the phisher sends fake message by pretending to be from a reputable source.

4] Collection : Phishers record the information of the targets or victims by entering into their web pages.

5] Identity theft and fraud : The phishers use the stolen information that they have gathered to make illegal fraud or for illegal purchase.
