More than 40 camels have recently been excluded from such a competition in Saudi Arabia. It is alleged that the camels underwent cosmetic surgery to participate in the 'beauty pageant'.

According to a report in the Qatari media Al Jazeera, the name of the competition held in Saudi Arabia is 'King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival'. It is the largest annual event in the world with camels. This year's event is on December 1. It will continue till January 12. This time the sixth session of this festival is going on. The owners of the winning camels will get 25 crore riyal prize.

However, this time after the start of the festival, criticism spread among all. Owners of 146 camels were accused of artificially enhancing beauty. The organizers removed the names of more than 40 camels from the competition as the allegations were proved after verification and selection using the latest technology.

Al Jazeera quoted the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying that the camels had been given special injections before taking part in the beauty pageant. This injection is mainly used to keep the skin taut and remove wrinkles from the face. These camels have been given hormone injections to make them look better.

Marzouk Al-Natto, a spokesman for the festival's legal committee, said it was forbidden to use any artificial means to enhance the beauty of the camels participating in the festival.

Marzouk al-Natto also said that the owners had to pay a fine of up to 100,000 riyals per camel as the allegation of fraud was proved. However, this time so many camels were eliminated from the competition. So many camels have not been fined before.
