You see all these:
"This is not financial advice",
"I'm not your financial adviser",
"I'm not your neighbour",
I'm not your family member",
blah, blah, blah... they're all just cliche.
Everybody knows that you're clearly not their financial adviser. Plus these phrases have been overused to the point of uselessness.
For example, someone is asking you to "buy this token, I swear on my ancestors' grave, you'll make money"... and then end it with, "this is not financial advice". Is that supposed to be marital advice then?
Just provide unbiased information and leave the decision of what to do to the reader and you're clear of any direct or implied responsibility for whatever they choose to do with the information you provide.
Stop advising people and turn around to say it's not financial advice, wtf is it then?
