Have you had a chance to check out the banano coin? I am a sucker for small market caps coins that is community heavy. When it came to banano I was looking for a coin I could earn while folding or use bonic. Mining is just so wasteful and if I can but my hardware to work for something better I will.
On to folding or those that do not know what folding @ home is.
The Folding@home project (FAH) is dedicated to understanding protein folding, the diseases that result from protein misfolding and aggregation, and novel computational ways to develop new drugs in general.
Folding refers to the way human protein folds in the cells that make up your body. We rely on the proteins to keep us healthy and they assemble themselves by folding. But when they misfold, there can be serious consequences to a person’s health.
You can use your desktop GPU or CPU but the GPU is much better hardware to F@H and complete the WorkUnits. You can be helping with things like cancer, Alzheimer's,

After taking a small break away from crypto and doing some much need research on some crazy things going on in the world. I have now updated the total ban I am at after 19 days of folding. You can see i am also most at half way to the total of 10k ban. Once I get to 10k Ban I will start to look at exchanging some to another token that may bring some extra profit from holding.

The avg day of folding with the 570 plus CPU. The CPU folding does not offer many points but the system sites idle most the time anyway. I am well on the way to 10000 bananos.
I am folding @ home for cancer, I am using the amd 570 that is not mining max all day but is pulling around 300000k points on a day I can let it do work units. I have set my self a goal to get 10000 banano by the end of August. I think this is a good target and will earn around $10 at the current rate.

I'm not using my computer for BAN but I'm contributing my computing power for completing Work Units for Cancer markers through BOID project for over a year now.
I only use my laptop CPU with about 80% of its power devoted for this work. And I've acculmulated a little less than 500,000 BOID so far plus I've been rewarded with coins like XRP for actively contributing my computing power to teams on BOID.

BAN is a DAG coin ...I believe, a fork of NANO.

Yeah I used boid for a while but not a fan of EOS. Ban is it's own chain and that's always better in my eye.
Yeah it is a fork of Nano. I learned about it on Publish0x but haven't done bounties yets.

Ah this brings back old memories! I used to do FAH back in I think 2006? I had a little farm going and used to print out certificates saying congratulations you folded X amount of what not.
