Bitcoin entered the mainstream in 2013 because of the Cyprus crisis. Capital controls were imposed. And people's savings were seized in a "bail-in" to recapitalise the banks.
The French elections on 30th June may have the same effect, especially if the run-offs are between the National Rally and the Popular Front, both of whom have uncosted spending plans France can't afford.
Expect the markets and euro to tank. If it gets out of control, gold and bitcoin will rise.
