Hello old friends. I find myself in the unfamiliar position of having spare fiat to invest into crypto today and wondered what the blurt community might have to say about potentially fruitful investments at this stage of the bull market?
Those of you who follow me over on hive will already know this story but i advised my American brother back in 2018 to buy bitcoin and this led to him buying shares in MicroStrategy in 2022. He invested over $1M and says he won't sell till bitcoin hits $1M, so he will ultimately do very well from this trade.
When he contacted me with this news just a few months ago he asked for a bank account in my name so he could send me some money but after a decade without any connection to the banking system it wasn't easy 'getting back in the game'. It is however done now and just in the last few days i received a lovely tax free gift from my brother.
Knowing the bull market is still on (from a four year cycle perspective) it feels crazy to be holding this money as dollars.
For this reason i am reaching out to those who have their ear to the ground.
Monero continues to look strong for example? And future use case is obvious.
Even blurt feels as if the big moves are yet to come?
Or are we all just dreamers?

It looks decent though the sign up process seems complex. Took me a while to figure out what to do and my feeling is that getting joe public to sign up in this way simply won't work.

Since the Blurt.media site is brand new, signups are not open to the general public just yet. We want to get some good Creators on there first to at least fill up the site a little bit and give newcomers something to look at. There will also be some smartass who uploads some NSFW video of porn, abuse, etc so we have to be careful (we are also researching nsfw a.i. tools that can run on the server and help with auto-detection and flagging). Anyway, once the site has been live for a few months, then registrations will be opened up so that anyone can create a channel on their own and start posting content. For now, here are the 3 steps:

HBD is also a great option if you hate volatility. With a 15% APR it comes up as a great one to me.

Well… I like to support these other projects on Hive since they are similar to Blurt … they allow people to earn a little crypto when the Big Hive Whales are downvoting their posts to zero every 7 days. I like to back the little guy. The Hive Oligarchs are just angry jealous and envious of the little Blogger who succeeds on our own.
Yes, I basically did exactly that seven years ago. And in many ways i regret it. But only because i have been forced since then to slowly sell them all off. I still have a few things left and they are looking decent but ultimately i would have done better if i had just bought btc.
