Almost everything I post there is based on my feelings on the covid con, and other cons, even and maybe especially my freewrites. I am no longer in-your-face about my views after I started getting downvoted, yes. But I am still heard there, and have quite a few loyal followers who support my views as well as my posts. I'm very happy to have come here, where I can be totally open in my views. I only follow people who share my views here, and have learned a tremendous amount! Maybe if I had not found Blurt I would have left the other. I did leave steem and brought all my earnings there here.

personally I never posted anything about covid or any world affairs just art / etc it can be toxic there for many reasons. Anyway I would never push someone else to live their life the same way I do but I realised how much fear that platform held over me with an invisible net of just getting breadcrumbs as soon as I kicked it to the curb for good I felt completely free and amazing. I didn't really agree with @practicalthought before but now I do, it took leaving to see how we are just funding that handful of people to get rich just by posting there and engaging. It would be ok if it was a small group of people but they are the people that forked the platform and essentially run it, whilst pretending it's decentralised. But like I said each to their own with. it everyone should be allowed to do as they feel. I like steemit personally, the wox community is really nice, I never had an issue with steemit and felt free there after the hive cabal left.
That's a good point, that I am working to further enrich some whales, just like most of us in the world. Hive purports to be different, but is not. hm
if enough of us support this one eventually everyone will move, they are only not doing so now as they are getting more £ so willing to take the breadcrumbs to tow the line. The change over will come soon I strongly believe. Eventually everyone will get as sick of it as us lot did lol
I am making more USD curating here than I do curating on hive. I've started moving hive funds here. My posts don't make as much, true, but only because the entity I have had arguments with there regularly supports my posts. I guess this is what gives me hope. Then again, it could be a control measure.
yes for sure that's why I like it here, there is no glass ceiling. I would rather make 1/100th the amount but know I am free to grow and evolve than there will always be a ceiling someone can wipe me off at. Thats like being in a 9-5 not freelance.
I guess I have a different perspective as saw these guys doing it in 2017 and saw it leave steemit when they left steemit. I tried to do what you did for ages just head down, stay in touch with the communities I liked and had spent years building etc and just turn a blind eye to my posts getting downvoted if they went over a certain amount or turn a blind eye to everyone I liked on there getting taken to 0 on every post they made but I couldn't and then speaking out gets you 'punished'. The thing is if it was a small group the smaller people could still create their communities, like on blurt even if the huge whales hate you you can still build communities and help and support one another. It's not the same platform having a downvote function so misused just means they can manipulate people through fear and give them breadcrumbs to shut up/follow. You cannot be authentic there, you cannot have an opinion without being essentially deplatformed and unable to take part in trade. The only people we are helping on there is those whales to get huge amounts of money every month whilst keeping us in fear of them that If we speak out, or defend someone we like we will get wiped down even more as 'punishment'. I can't believe I stuck it out that long. Practical thought said he wasn't upvoting anyone properly who was supporting the hive platform by posting on it, I didn't agree with it at the time because I wanted to stay on both but recently it got more and more striking that staying on was just supporting them so I made sure to sabotage myself in a way I'll never go back unless those people leave. Like I said though I do believe in free choice and free will but we do have to take some responsibility for who we are funding in life, for me I support freedom of speech and freedom to be authentic so by funding a platform getting rich off suppressing others free speech I really shouldn't be supporting with my energy and time.
Wow....Can't believe all this was going on with me not having a clue for years. I avoided any kind of drama like the plague on there and never really broke above the pay grade until the price went to a dollar. That's when they came after me.
At this moment, I think the energy and momentum is about to go in our favor and with a little push it may go in our favor big time. I just hope we can make the most of it. I'm learning more and more how welcoming and free Blurt is. We can have this level of conversation without any demon creature being nasty verbally, or down voting and destroying our blogs just for speaking our minds.
People have to see your story. You've seen and experienced it all with these monsters.
I really didn't chase it lol I just can't stay silent when I see others getting bullied though or see injustice so I tried to just avoid seeing it and keep really to myself but didn't matter how much I tried to keep my head down I would be good for a few months then I would suddenly get a well paid post or see someone getting taken to 0 for no reason and it would get me all over again. All I really wanted to do was sit post, build and create art. It got to the point just logging on was filled with dread and if I ever got rly high payouts (more recently) of over 100 I would just get a really bad energy about if they would ever reach payout. I used to say this could be someone in a third world country who's medical treatment for their mum could be paid off with this post then someone swipes it a few hours before payment just for kicks. It really got me pissed off. I love it here I don't have to worry and it makes me realise just how toxic hive was. It is pointless saying anything though. I shared my story for the first time in years but all those under the spell just attacked me and said I was being selfish and butt hurt or something and I should be thankful to get any payouts then they 'punished' me and started downvoting me with the comment 'over rewarded' . You can't discuss with these people at all nor the ones still under the spell so I honestly just stay away now and I wouldn't engage on any further posts. They always hide behind stupid cartoon character profiles, but some of the people they got working for them still have online presence. They never ever downvote one another, they never ever use 'over rewarded' with one another and one literally just posts twitter screen shots and gaming videos, that guy I argued with who down voted every single post pretty much I made I don't even know what his short one paragraph posts were even about, one just talks about being depressed and struggling every day despite having tons of hive they could just power down but are too desperate not to give up control. I wouldn't judge their posts if they didn't go around downvoting and calling other peoples 'over rewarded' , then you are going to start having to take some criticism for your own. They make this big thing about Steemit but go check some of their wallets especially acid on steemit you'll see huge delegations and rewards farming of 100s of dollars a day from multiple accounts, go check it. We are not allowed a profile for our pet but they can have 4 each or more. But we are not allowed to make 2 dollars a post on there haha But no I am not going to even log onto hive when I decided to leave I just never logged in again, cause it won't end in discussion or change all that will happen is a bunch of down voting and arguing, I would rather just focus on here. Lots of people have spoken out on this already and people either dig their head in the sand or kind of ignore it because they want to keep getting payouts and sod everyone else who is getting treated badly. It is only when it happens to them or their actual friends they might change a bit. Best thing for people to do is just withdraw their money from hive.
I do not think hive can change as the people with all the stake are the people doing it, personally I would rather start over here where the platform is more fair and does not allow for such abuses.
