Opera re-released a unique special browser. Having previously issued a browser specifically for gaming, this time Opera released a browser specifically for crypto.
Opera Crypto Browser is currently still in beta phase. This browser comes with an array of crypto and blockchain related features such as a built-in crypto wallet, access to cryptocurrency exchange and NFT, support for decentralized applications (dApps), and more.

One of its main features is that the crypto wallet is non-custodial which means it is not controlled by a third party. This wallet supports blockchains such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Celo, Nervos, Polygon, and others.

This feature aims to make it easier for users to access their crypto assets without the need for additional extensions, complete with the option of using a wallet from a third party. Users can also buy cryptocurrencies such as ethereum via Ramp using a Visa or Mastercard credit card.

Users can also directly buy NFT in marketplaces such as OpenSea and Rarible. To increase its security, Opera also inserts a secure keyboard feature that ensures other applications can't peek at your data while copying/pasting.

The common thread of this crypto-only browser is support for the hype Web3. Web3 is a concept that is predicted to be the future of the internet, where all data will be blockchain-based.

"Too little browsing experience on offer was built with the aim of putting Web3 at the center of attention and making blockchain technology easy to use," said Opera Crypto Ecosystem Lead Susie Batt, as quoted by Mashable.

"Our belief is that the blockchain world requires a truly customized browsing experience."

Apart from providing extra protection through blockchain encryption, Opera Crypto Browser also allows users to access 'GameFi' where users can play games and earn money.

Opera is not the only browser creator to dive into the world of blockchain and crypto. Mozilla recently announced that it would start accepting donations in the form of cryptocurrencies, but this policy was opposed due to the impact of blockchain on the environment.

Currently Opera Crypto Browser is available on Android, Windows, and Mac. The iOS version will follow later.
