The EVM(Ethereum Virtual Machine) based lending protocol Hundred Finance was hacked on Optimism layer-2 scaling solution.
The latest estimated hacked amount is ~7.2M USD.
Hundred Finance also noted that it has sent messages to the hackers, but still not clear if it has had any response from hacker.
According to Blockchain Security firm CertiK, the hacker expolited the exchange rate between ERC-20 tokens and htokens, enabling them to withdraw more token than initially doposited.
BlockBeats previously reported that in March last year, the Compound fork project Hundred Finance and the Aave fork project Agave on the Gnosis Chain encountered flash loan attacks.
Hackers used reentrant vulnerabilities in the two protocols to steal more than $11 million.
