The company CIC Enterprise - affiliated with the Bitbeat exchange - will promote a pilot project to implement a crypto payment system on two famous beaches in South Korea. Through a partnership with Innotech, a payment provider company, the system seeks to reduce the use of cash.

Tourists who decide to spend their summer days on the beaches of Haeundae and Busan, will be able to pay for water sports services and rental of equipment and tents with cryptocurrencies. Users will be able to pay through their smartphones in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and ERC20, WAY and MCI tokens.

According to the Bitbeat exchange, payments will be processed instantly through the use of QR codes and will be accessible to any crypto-wallet in the world.

“We hope that the virtual currency used in the Haeundae-gu beach system will be more used in real life. We will try to provide a payment environment with cryptocurrencies, "they said from the firm.

A few weeks ago, in Busan, a public-private consortium announced the creation of a “medical tourism” platform powered through blockchain technology. The local bank took over the project, seeking to channel all operations related to plastic surgeries and other aesthetic interventions.
