Trump has recently made an announcement that he will be releasing his Trump Trading Card NFT collections, and personally I think it's a great idea.
People have been really roasting Trump on twitter, both on the left and the right for him releasing NFT's but I see it as a positive move to get the older fanatical people who like Trump onboard in the cryptocurrency scene. NFT's aren't as much of a big hit with the crypt crowd lately, not because they aren't cool, but because a lot of NFT creators haven't created much utility for them. The time for NFT's have maybe passed us, or maybe the technology was still a little too primitive.
Yet, that is ok. Trump selling NFT's in a bear market can actually be beneficial to those who purchase the NFT's and when the political cycle returns to the Presidential Election, those NFT's would probably be even more popular. I think it's a smart move by Trump, even if people are roasting him on Twitter. People have to remember, that a lot of famous people have released their own NFT's or they have contracts with companies that release NFT's.
NFT's are making a comeback, so will you get your Trump NFT's? They have already sold out, but there are people that are reselling there's.
I disagree my friend. I think the "worship me" "hero" cards are an embarrassment given he has been and seeks to be again a world leader. I understand your idea that things brings attention to crypto for those who are still unsure about it all but I think this is in poor taste. I expect the leader of our nation to be dignified and much more humble than Trump who has never understood that concept and this literally demonstrates his hubris. For me it's a turn off.
Don't get me wrong, I like many of his policies but this is just embarrassing. I could not be less interesting in these NFT's. Sorry but that's how I see it.
I definitely see your point; Yet, Trump isn't really much of a politician, even if he has been president and will likely be it again. Trump is an entertainer first the way I see it, so from that perspective, other entertainers have their own NFT's or contracts with NFT creators. It may not be traditionally professional in a political sense, but he can gloat that he is the first president to have his own NFT's. lol
You have a good point there too. He is an entertainer and an entrepreneur first and foremost. I'm just creeped out by it all but yeah, I can see your point of view as well.
