BTC Rising! Crypto Daylight at the End of the Tunnel?

in crypto •  last year

Felt a certain sense of relief this morning when I "woke up" my computer and saw that Bitcoin had actually climbed its way back to $30,000.

I'm by no means an obsessive follower of the markets, but I do keep my eye on broader trends like trending up and trending down.

The recent/current(?) bear market has been difficult for many, and I don't just mean investors, I also mean crypto/blockchain projects that see interest and development activity gradually grind to a standstill.

I know this holds true for myself, and I'm sure it holds true for many others as well, and that is that I reach a point where the constant "buy the dip" advice starts to just grate on my nerves because the world starts to look more like "throwing good money after bad" than an opportunity to acquire an investment at a firesale price!

There's an awful lot of "crypto-stuff" out there that has no excuse for even existing, let alone *surviving, in the longer term.

I find myself thinking back to the early days of The Internet, itself and recognizing a repeating pattern.

Whenever we experience a game changing new industry emerge, everybody wants to get onboard the proverbial gravy train. But the by now infamous "tech crash" of the early '00s also taught people (hopefully!) that 95% of the "stuff" out there actually needs to die and be forgotten about.

The technology graveyard by 2005 was plentiful!

But let's not forget that this same cycle gave us the likes of Amazon, eBay and many other industrial giants.

The "secret" (not that it should be much of a secret!) is to actually have something people want and care about and then to stick to your guns, even when it looks like the world around you seems to be falling apart!

Let's hope venues like Blurt have enough "going on" to keep people interested and emerge strong on the upturn.

Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the rest of your week!

How about YOU? Do you think the crypto bear market is coming to an end? Or do we have a lot more "red ink" to come? What do you think a project or business needs to do, to survive difficult times?
