Indian state gov't uses Polygon to issue verifiable caste certificates
In partnership with LegitDoc, the Maharashtra government is in the process of rolling out 65,000 caste certificates to aid the process of delivering governmental schemes and benefits.
Indian State Issues Caste Certificates on Polygon as Part of e-Governance
... setting a precedent for using Web3 for e-governance.
democratization = human branding
privileges = slave benefits
You still get a piece of paper, but now it has a QR code to scan.
What if you lose the document?
No problem, just visit a tattoo parlour.
Now... what about some real "democratization"... like scrapping the caste system!?
They should focus in eliminating the caste system but that is something i don't think will happen here. People from some caste can visit a temple while some cannot.
Now they using polygon for caste certificates. I hate this system , i remember when i wrote a exam for engineering college there was selection based on caste system.
A person from schedule caste or schedule tribe as you said gets slave benifits. It's illogical to give someone less deserving a chance just because he/she is from a particular caste.
I am currently worried about crypto tax , it will be implemented from 1st April. My funds are such in one of the Indian exchanges , they are undergoing maintenance. I hope they will done with that before 1st and i can take my money out from it.
They are probably trying to see if they can extract your tax from source :-(
Good luck with that, and keep posting on it.
I assume the caste system also means some people don't bother trying - even if they have talents.
There are echoes of this Brahminism here in IndoChina, mainly from the Khmer empire being originally Hindu.
Yeah , we have to be dependent on P2P for now and maybe some other solutions can be find later.
In yesterday's parliament session i was shocked when one of the leader said that 30% is quite less as Crypto investors earns alot. He further added that increasing tax further should not be a problem either.
He meant that if someone is earning good taking 30% or even more in the name of tax is not a problem.
That is true , obviously if someone will already be told about their caste benefits why will they try . They see the easy way out.
Khmer empire , was a mixture of hindu and Buddhist right.
originally Hindu, so Angkor was a Hindu temple, then one of the kings converted to Buddhism - so they changed a few of the icons. lol.
But some of the politics remains...erm... let's say infused with brahminical rulership ideas ;-)
