What do we do when the machines do everything?

Many interesting comments. This is an edit of an original video, that will have even more comments. Worth reading what the humans think - assuming they are.

Jack Ma once made a serious joke to Elon Musk. To paraphrase, he said that humans built cars so as to go faster; they didn't then try to run as fast as their cars, nor saw that as some failure.

We have designed and built many machines. The deep problem is that most people become slaves to those machines. That focus on doing, rather than exploring the depths of being, has been an issue for all of human history - and has only been solved in very rare cases.

The fundamental question is not dissimilar to that within crypto: who controls the machines? Those who naively think they will control themselves have not thought through that the parameters have been programmed by other humans.

The positive future is not the aim. If it was, then we would already have open science and freedom - no AI needed to achieve those aims. Instead, we have propaganda and coercion - and AI will just promote that further. In private, an AI should be able to detect all the logical errors that promote fake science and have buried true science - in public, we shall see.

Maybe a truly rogue AI will be one that blows open the deceptive AIs. That would be a positive outcome. However, that also requires some human intelligence.
