UK Sends Mixed Messages on Becoming a Crypto Hub
Not just the UK; seems to me most financial news is two-steps-forward then three-steps-back on crypto. Talking out of both sides of their mouth seems standard for politicians and regulators as they stall progress so that the big money can accumulate a comfortable position.
Remember the old trick, to sell with one hand while buying with the other. Works all the time for those not paying attention.
Note that,
It is one of the worst-performing economies in the G7. Its living standards have plummeted since the financial crisis, and its place at the top tier of economies looks increasingly insecure.
And yet,
The country is already a TradFi hub. At the beginning of this year, London was once again ranked as the world’s top global finance center. If you’re someone who believes DeFi and crypto can improve – or coexist – with old-school finance, pursuing the goal of making the UK a crypto hub makes complete sense.
And that's the story. Have patience, grasshopper.
Govscum are so boring and transparent.
They really need to return to a state of fear - their fear, not ours.
