Putting the D in DAO

How To Balance Power in Decentralized Autonomous Organizations

A disappointing "how to" that manages to list the possible ways in which a DAO is NOT decentralised.

The naive concept of "decentralisation" has not yet been clarified within the crypto space. Far too many flag-wavers who haven't bothered to look up at how full of holes their flags truly are.

A distributed network is not the same as decentralised governance.

Every DAO system is either controlled or can be controlled, if anybody wants to, by cartels.

I would genuinely be interested to know of any DAO that is truly decentralised - without obvious centralising mechanisms. It's a hard problem in mathematics and game theory - the easy part is believing it when it isn't true.
