BitcoinCasinos: NFT market will reach $2.7 billion by 2025, disappointing expectations
According to data analyzed by BitcoinCasinos.com, the forecast for long-term NFT markets is anything but positive. In fact, these are estimated to reach a value of $2.7 billion by 2025: less than half the previous forecast.
I'm not surprised, given that NFTs still seem to be largely associated with bad art.
I predict NFTs will have more useful uses going forward, and may not even call themselves "NFTs", but some other more specific name, such as fan tokens or exchange vouchers or game assets.
The total market capitalization of NFTs amounted to about $7.71 billion at the time of writing, which is a 42% decrease from the same month of the previous year.
Investments in major NFT projects, such as Doodles, Invisible Friends, Moonbirds and Goblintown, suffered losses of up to 95% of their value in Ether (ETH).
Exactly, look elsewhere.
A look at data on NFTGo shows they are still stuck in "collections" mode.
Even Binance separates NFTs from fan tokens - I think need a broader definition of NFT to gauge what's really going on.
NFTs are like standalone smart contracts, hence far more useful than crap art - just needs some imagination.
