Not good news.
AscendEX Hacked, $77.7M Lost From Hot Wallets
Cryptocurrency exchange AscendEX has lost tokens from Ethereum, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain in a hack on Dec.11.
The losses were transferred by a hacker out of custodial hot wallets.
Blockchain security firm Peckshield Inc., estimates losses at $77.7M.
Note that the attack affected only custodial hot wallets.
This is a shame, as my experience with AscendEX has been good, although has only been quick in-and-out trades of coins that are difficult to trade elsewhere.
the traditional advice has always been not to leave coins on exchanges, however convenient that may seem. However, with many exchanges getting on-board with defi products, it is impossible to stake coins without... staking them!
Do you have any experiences of using AscendEX?
This is the second news i have heard today related to hack and Crypto.
I have not deal with this exchange in the history but i am sad for people who have seen any kind of loss due to this.
That's thrilling news!
That's not good news at well.
They should secure their privacy.
How can people exchange in this.
It will break people belief.
They should take action immediately.
How convenient. And now there is a much richer CIA I imagine.
Would the staked coins be safe since they are staked or is there an immediate unstaking option?
