IOG and University of Edinburgh Launch Blockchain Decentralisation Research Project
IOG CTO Romain Pellerin called EDI, which is designed to measure “decentralization of blockchain networks beyond counting the number of validators and their power (weight) over the system (consensus protocol)”, a “major leap” for the crypto industry:
Good. I hope the research will touch on, not only whether a system is currently decentralised - whichever the network level - but also how easy it it to RE-centralise. I mean, POS is easy, as is nothing better than shareholder majority voting.
The deep problem remains that of collusion. Can such collusion be detected via off-chain agents?

mmm... already over-subbed. there will be more.
finally found it

one metric = the cost to centralise an alleged decentralised construct
I've just upvoted @blurtyield's content.
