According to the findings of Investing Reviews’s research, the question “How do I invest in cryptocurrency?” is the most googled investment-related question, which is a sign of the growing interest in the asset class.
Investing reviews is a standard UK financial services aggregator. Standard, safe, solid advice.
What struck me is how similar this all is to the 1980s financial services liberalisation in the UK. Very similar questions. Should I hold shares directly or use a custodian? Should I invest in individual companies or a managed fund? Capital appreciation or income? And... how do I buy shares in the first place!?
The first question now is: how do I even start to buy cryptos?
Nothing much has changed, except that stocks were being heavily pushed at the time, whereas cryptos are being heavily pushed back.
It does look very much like the 1980s all over again... apart from the bankster FUD.
