I can say that nothing is riskier than short-term investment, because you enter a position and expect to sell at a higher price, but the opposite can happen and you can get stuck in the investment, often forcing you to sell at a loss.
On the other hand, long-term investment, when the asset is well chosen, tends to almost always generate good profits, because there is no time to sell, so you will probably sell when you are in profit. This can take years.
For example:
Imagine the person who kept trading Dogecoin at $0.0027, sold expecting to buy cheaper, and suddenly saw the price go to $0.60. Certainly, they didn’t lose in USD terms, but they missed out on making a lot of money.
One thing I always like to remind is that you don't lose money when you sell for a profit and the asset goes up even more, but you miss out on making some extra.
