let me in, I’m trying to fuck.

You have to watch the whole thing for context of course.

While I’ll let you take five minutes to fully check out that video and the incredible talent that is Marc, the title of this post is really nothing to do with any kind of letting me in to actually fuck, it’s actually just a free write about blockchains in general and ACCESS.

Marc Rebillet - Girl’s Club ( Let me in I’m trying to fuck ) is one of those videos that I found through twitter that switched me on to the awesome talent that is Marc rebillet, if you don’t know him, catch one of his live streams, so positive and empowering through the early days of the covid-19 pandemic.

the internet is such a creative and free place, we got people doing stupid irrelevant dances on tiktok and posting videos on youtube about packaged foods they bought in a vending machine in youtube, it's got an audience for someone/somewhere -- access is the no1 ruleset of the internet, i have to feel i have access, freedom of movement, no border guards, no passports or visas i have to show you when i wanna get it.

We are lucky in the west to have that, we don't have to stradle the great firewall of china and we don't have (on the majority) our data deep packet inspected as we go into these places, it's creative freedom, makes us feel we can participate without judgement.

you can kinda put the ALT whatever to either side and just enjoy it without having your views or aptitude evaulated or analysed, if we don't wanna play the 'class structure' of the real world where your life success is calculated based on education, religion or money in the bank.

you keep driving people away, every day.

I see so much happening across blockchains that’s it’s hard not to remark on, on other blockchains I’d get downvoted to oblivion because I wasn’t in the cool cult club and elsewhere they want my GOV id before and for me to wear a shirt and do my hair, it’s a fuck show — all I wanna do is be let in and try to fuck (ahem, write)

That’s one of the refreshing things about blurt, from a creative flow standpoint, I know I can write this post, put it up and the flow cycle of my morning is complete, minus alienation, no worrying about my monthly hosting bills, I can just write and blurt it out. .. I can see the apple advert now!

I saw on hive recently that they are talking about marketing again when they spent the last few years eliminating any marketing people from their platform because we didn’t suck at the teet of the pseudo ‘we are your friends’ brigade. The desperation to stay relevant is rife — but tbh if you look at steem, hive or any project that’s been up for a few years you kinda suffer from that slow death of being a platform.

The truth is, your not advertising, your trying to stay relevant in a market place that’s always evolving, new protocols, new algos, new communities, new places and codebases to play with — I went from centralised hosting to decentralised hosting and I’m probably gonna be back to static side hosting again soon, using blockchain as my backup, not my main.

If blockchain has shown me anything is that the majority of the people there are the people you DON’T find on centralised platforms — it’s the radicals, fridges, anarchists, broken and damaged edge cases with a smattering of people they are comfortable to exist within their realm because they know they can control them in some way, it’s kinda like a sepit tank of mind control.

But wait, not all are like that, and actually now, what’s started to get interesting is that you can use the same codebase but with a different set of rules, I know I can build a community on one and keep that to our group without outside intervention, I know I can write here and not get downvoted, I know I can validated my ID with VOICE and just hang out with the relative norms and not the people trying about their privacy and rights being stolen away because they can’t be impulsive at 4am about how they don’t like your opinion and must be some kinda gov mindop plant. Like, zzzzz.

I’m starting to look at data a lot different now after a few years in the pit of blockchain, I had some fun times in the middle of all of it, got paid for my involvement, got called a scammer, wrote a lot, engaged a lot with the people on projects that I thought could go somewhere but ultimately got ruined by well organised gangs of non internet people just out to squeeze and redirection ‘internet money’ into their own stuff — I’m not playing that game, I just wanted to create.

Anywhays.

It’s Sunday, it’s my productivity assessment day, gotta plan for the week ahead, gonna be a good week, I can feel it in my bones, I was absolutely wiped out for like twelve hours yesterday but feel freaking good now, I always do feel better on the other side of it, I think a lot of the time it’s just that push through that you need to be present and correct for, let the rest slide and trust that the universe has your back.

I have a feeling that in this next bull run we are gonna really see the strength of a lot of these DeFi projects really take hold — not only do they have stunning interfaces, great (real) communities but they have planned and build in reliability and redundancy, everything is just so much more mature than it was a few years ago, which instills good feelings for the decentralised future.

I’m more inclined to save now and I’m making sure that I’ve got a bag of LINK, ETH, BTC and some credits for projects that I believe in. That’s why I moved a bunch of HIVE to here, I love the fact that it’s got no downvoting, I always disliked the power control aspects of STEEM and HIVE. The alienation was real, I don’t believe it will ever be seen for the truly awesome base level tech that it is, just too many nerds that don’t realise the world is bigger than them.

Anyway, this free write turned into a brain fart dump when all I really wanna do is starting building out my new GAMING RIG and start gaming again, so many games, so little time, so many upgrades to be done before the end of the year for me and others I love so dearly, want to make sure they have the tools to be creative, that they can express themselves and have the digital power to flex into their better selves.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot to mention, I originally put in a proposal for building out an outreach, audience/development squad of people for a delegation of one million blurt (some others have done this) but it turns out you don’t have any control of the account you do this one, the whales on this platform are keeping control of that, I’m not interested in just being the worker UNDER someone so I won’t be doing that in an official delegated way but I’ll still be doing it on a more milder format and charging for the theme designs instead — will be lower fees so all good, I’ve got a great idea that I’ll have realised in the next few months I think.

I’ll tell you about it here I’m sure.

Ok, that’s me for today, have a freaking great sunday!
