I was taught how to do numerous things from a young age; cooking, cleaning, ironing, basically most of the house chores. The only skill I really enjoyed was sewing and cleaning the toilet bowl, but that's another story. I used to cut up my dad's old undies and sew little characters on them. I would also make mini embroidered pillows and stuff them with paper. Looking back, I now realise that I did make some utter crap. Then again, practice makes perfect.
This was my latest creation, a birthday gift to my darling daddy. I hand-stitched every little detail. It was like colouring in an image, only it took 3x, no, 4x as long.
My next piece will be my mother's birthday present. Any ideas on what design to do?
That's cute and how sweet you are. Happy Birthday to your dad!!
