Looking deeper, this position would kill someone who had bacterial pneumonia. The CDC was using this precise position here in Canada in hospitals who appealed to them for Coronavirus relief training.

It would seem quite normal, as a nurse or doctor, to apply to the CDC for info on a dangerous new outbreak, of any kind. The only problem is that the CDC had retained half of the human rights lawyers in Canada as well as the patents they needed, on top of the parliamentary bill that protects doctors from fall out.

Being absolved from liability, the doctors likely know this practice is wrong, but all their peers follow the same advice from the CDC. They have a status quo in the medical community that a dentist would be able to describe to you in Canada.
