The plans I had set for 2020........

in covid19 •  4 years ago

2019 was a pretty decent and a pleasant year for me. Nothing much happened, there were no highs and no lows it was a consistent year with stability and I was expecting that 2020 would be an upward graph from there, but nevertheless did I or anyone in that case knew that we had a bombshell waiting for us right from the beginning of the year.

For me, looks like I had a double favor happening :-), not only dealing with the Coronavirus situation but also my hubby's health condition, 7 months passed away in his treatment itself, with almost 4 months in hospital. Never expected it would be so long, but then that's what life is all about, things happen when you least expect.

2020 year I had marked for travels. I had plans almost every 2nd month, starting from January to India, then April was a trip planned to Amsterdam, August end was Italy followed by a week Mediterranean cruise, November the Fest, December planned for Srilanka. Everything stands cancelled and no one knows when travels again come back to normal.

Now one would think, why did I plan so much of travel in this year. The main reason for it is that this year me and my husband will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in a month's time, and since both of us enjoy travelling a lot, we decided to mark this year for travels and celebrate our 25 years togetherness through out the year by doing things we love and enjoy the most, but destiny had some other plans for us. Since the beginning of the year we have been travelling, the difference is not to places but to and fro hospitals :-(

Truly, life is very unpredictable, you may plan loads of things but if destiny has something else, you cannot fight with it. And this a lot of people will realize in the current situation.

Yes but when I am just thinking about my travel plans getting cancelled, I am feeling sad. We were planning up this year for a very long time and then when it arrives it all goes for a toss. I feel it's very unfair, but then nothing much can be done.

I am sure we have all learned valuable lessons that we will remember hopefully for life time.
