Plotline: The public secretly had their DNA tampered with via the smallpox vaccine. This makes people susceptible to disease and compromises their immune systems. "With comprimised immune systems it's the vaccines that are attacking their systems" is a line spoken from the episode by character Dana Scully. The motive was an elite group that want to depopulate the Earth and start again citing a “climate crisis”.

Think it's a meaningless 'coincidence'? What about when the X-files spin off show "The Lone Gunmen" in March 2001 predicted the 911 terrorist attack. In the Pilot episode a Computer hacker takes control of a Boeing 727 passenger plane and flies it towards the World Trade Center with the specific intention of crashing the plane into one of the Twin Towers.
