Types of computer virus :-

1} Boot sector virus :

• Boot sector virus often spread to other systems when shared infected disks and softwares are used.

2} Program virus :

• Program virus is type of virus which will become active or infected when program file is executed.
• Once the program gets infected, the virus makes copies of itself and insects the other programs on the computer system.

3} Multipartite virus :

• Multipartite virus is a type of virus that can infect both boot sector and executable files on a computer.
• Multipartite virus can get spread or infected to other computers and storage devices.

4} Stealth virus :

• Stealth virus is a type of malware that is designed to remain hidden from antivirus software and other security measures.
• Stealth virus can infect computer systems and can affect the computers performance.

5} Polymorphic virus :

• Polymorphic virus is a type of malware that is designed to avoid detection by antivirus software and other security measures by changing themselves or signature files.
• Polymorphic virus can spread to other computers and storage devices.

6} Macrovirus :

• Macrovirus is a type of computer virus that is written in macro language, which is embedded in a software applications.
• Macrovirus can infect the computer system and embed itself in other documents which corrupt the computer system.
