Strive for your own Win

It is said that Competition is the best form of motivation, very true, it brings a lot of energy into our work and competition is good till the time we take it in a healthy manner and compete. When one competes with the final goal in mind then that's a healthy competition, but when one starts competing with the opposite person in mind then that's not a healthy competition. What I want to achieve should matter rather than what the opposite person is achieving and you want to out run that person, then that's not a competition that's only a silly game.

I need to set my own goals before getting into a game. I need to know what I want to achieve. If I am determined that I want to achieve 5 stars then my focus should be on achieving my 5 stars, it is a possibility that the opposite person may achieve the 5 stars before you, that should not make you feel jealous but should motivate you to also reach there as soon as possible with extra efforts and action. When we see other people achieving similar goals before us, we should learn from them as to how they have managed to achieve their goal in a shorter period of time and adapt the good practices. It can also be possible that the opposite person has achieved the goal not in a very rightful manner, and these things happen. In such a case I would not even want to put my energy in understanding how they did it.

Sometimes we may be slow in achieving our goals, but very important is to do it in the right manner, because at the end of it we will have to face our own-self. Every rightful win, even if it is delayed, makes us feel proud and accomplished and every win which is not achieved in the rightful manner will leave a sense of guilt within us. What is more important, then. There are lessons that we can keep learning all the time in our life, from other people. Sometimes we may get to learn these lessons from people younger to us or in less position than us. We must not shy off to learn from them and grow ourselves. I learn a lot of things from my son, any day he is more intelligent than me and has a better IQ. As a parent if I would hold that ego then it is entirely my loss.

The other thing I always look at it is, that winning is not always important. Just playing it in the fairest manner also matters a lot. How much did the other person score or win, should not matter. More important is what you want to score or earn, and for that what are you willing to do. If we put our efforts in the right direction and we are focused, then we will surely achieve our targets and win. Winning for self is more important than winning for others and proving it to others in any way. That's what most of the champions do, when they get into a race, they know what is the time they want to finish the race in and they will prepare themselves up to meet that record. In the race they will give their best as per their efforts then they win or lose it's all about the game.
