Effective Communication

in communication •  3 months ago

We underestimate the power of effective communication. When the communication is done in the right manner and effectively half the desired work is done. Majority of the leaders win their battles over one meeting with just their power to conduct an effective communication. When it comes to cross culture communication, the challenge is bigger to deal with, because every culture is different and so is the way of communication.

The most effective way to judge if the communication has been successful or not, there are 4 ways to judge. Firstly see if you have got the attention of the person, second - once the attention is received, see if the interest is developed, if these 2 steps are carried effectively, step 3 and 4 becomes simple. Once the interest is developed the third step is to create the desire towards what you want to achieve and lastly is there any action orienting out of it. In these 4 steps if the first 3 steps go successful, step 4 will happen with ease and the goal will be achieved.

Nowadays social media is reducing the cultural differences, it's bringing people more awareness of different cultures around the world, so in that manner it becomes easier for one to deal with people of cross culture. Some of the Sales people do not have big qualifications and yet they do excellent sales, the only reason being they have the skills of doing the right communication, which is their key to success.

Whether it is written or verbal communication, politeness is the key to winning it and low confidence and uncertainty are the keys to losing.
