Why is the digital canvas white???

in comedy •  4 years ago

As a some time GUI developer - actually writing GUI was what I started with at age 9 with the 700hz 6508 my first impulse was graphics after seeing a Mac plus, blank screen meant zero. Zero is always black. Logically.

Nowadays all graphical canvases blare white by default.

Why?

Memory is also zero when it initialises. Video reads from memory. Half the day that light is blinding. The PC, what colour is the screen on power up?

Why white?

Such waste and stupidity. It takes a lot of work to paint a screen white. Even LCD displays are black without power.

BLACK PIXELS MATTER!
