Nature does it best

A lot of people are just addicted to fake flavours and find this kind of natural food boring and plain but once you’ve weaned off the standard American diet for long enough a plain avocado for lunch is super tasty and satisfying. I am often a super boring eater and will just snack on avocados and fruit throughout the day and honestly nothing tastes better to me. When you’re over any addictions to intense flavourings and artificial food you’ll never find a better lunch that something taken straight from nature. My only wish is I could walk outside and take it off the tree myself but living in the UK we really don’t have that many options here, other than potatoes which I don’t eat and stuff you have to cook.

Raw veganism pretty much cured my auto immune condition and some really bad food intolerances that caused me to be constantly bloated and at some point actually physically sick from food. 13 years ago I was in a pretty bad place health wise and only getting worse. I swear if it wasn’t for me signing out of the hospital system and doing it myself, through a radical diet change ( and I was what you would consider healthy before - never ate junk rly) I would probably have developed some serious stomach issue and a lot of lupus complications, instead, I may not be perfect, I still get tired sometimes, or a bit weak and need to take it easy but I am better than I used to be by miles and miles and nothing has ever progressed. We don’t all have the same starting place with health but we can all take steps to improve our health as much as we can.

I also eat a mountain of avocados straight from the fruit.

Great chopped up after being extracted and added to a bowl of sprouts with miso mashed up into some sauerkraut and some of the liquid from the sauerkraut jar.

Good to find another raw foodist. I'm not strict but will have days of very good habits and feel a wave of energy renew me.

Getting used to eating and sustaining on living food is a thing. You can't just drop everything cooked today and pick up raw tomorrow and expect a miracle.

The entire digestive system needs to adjust and we need to adjust at absorbing nutrients in a different way.

Great to hear about your story to health. Food is our medicine!

Thanks for you post!

I think everyone is different I’m a bit of an all or nothing person and I went from an Atkins type diet to raw veganism about 98% overnight. But I know not everyone is like that. I can’t really do something gradual if I decide to go for something I just go.

Yeah I think I’m around 70 percent it suits me better to be around that level In a hot country I would probably be more like 90

I love eating fruits like avocado, mango, banana as it is. No more added sugar or seasonings. Natural taste!

I've barely touched cane sugar etc for about 20 years now other than the odd bit in the odd cocktail here and there etc I absolutely love fruit sugar though yum :D

Avos are exy here at the moment but yesterday at the Melbourne markets (near where I went to visit Dad, it's an hour from me) I got passionfruit, dragonfruit, feijoa and custard apple for cheap and sooo good... You can't get them at ordinary shops for a decent price so the market is awesome, gonna try going up once a month.
