I figured since today is a day for GREEN, I would show you a bit of my GREEN garden.
Here is a view of our garden from south looking north.
Closest to us are the tomatoes and further down are the peppers. Here is a closer look at the tomatoes
The electric fence charger keeps the racoons from munching on our tomatoes.
Now to head over to the south garden and take a look at the potato patch:
Here is a closer look at the 4 rows of potatoes. They are doing very good so far, (knock on wood).
It will soon be time to cover these guys up with some more hay.
This area just to the south of the potatoes will be getting 16 melon mounds installed this weekend. and the whole area covered with black plastic.
You may be wondering why I use so much plastic ground cover? I have only one word for you
MINT!!!!!!
I have a terrible infestation of mint in my garden areas. Anyone who has had to deal with it know how invasive it is. I am slowly winning the war and hope some day to not need the plastic, but for now this is how it must be.
I will soon do a more in depth walk through of the garden.
Until then have a blessed day.
