Good news from Colombia..
Colombia's Department of Information and Communications Technology (MinTIC) has released the first draft guide of its kind requiring the public sector to adopt blockchain technology, including matters related to crypto payments.
In its section on cryptocurrencies, MinTIC cites the draft "Bitcoin: Peer-to-Peer Electronic Money System" published in 2008 by the person who created Bitcoin (BTC) in 2008, and such a solution is Protection of consumers who invest in currencies.
The organizations behind this guide (including ViveLab in Bogota, Columbia University, Bogotá City Hall, National) include encryption, land registration, voting, ID data management, supply chain, medical records, business records, academic and tax administration, degree application and open bidding.
The purpose of this solution is to eliminate the involvement of third parties in the security infrastructure by using blockchain technology that enhances "trust and transparency" in data management.
