Around 3 years ago i received a simple token of appreciation from my wife it was actually a 1975 Philippine 5 peso circulation coin. At first my reaction was like "okay..i'll keep this since this is from you" until she told me the story behind and its sentimental value. Click and read the full story ➡️ Link although written in tagalog , just be patient enough with the help of google translate 😊😉.
From there my journey as a coin collector started and after some years my hobby taught me alot of things not just patience to dig deeper about the information of every coin i collect or wanted to collect but also little by little loving the history attached to it. Infact, i learned more about philippine and world history from collecting coins than from school 😄😁😉 my bad! no insult to our public school educators but i guess this is also a wake up call to address some issues in our educational system.
Today i will be sharing my latest addition to my growing collection, an 1850 - 8 Maravedis a currency used during spanish occupancy.
Nice collection! Keep posting.
