Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo/Everything Everywhere All at Once
Me gusta mucho el cine y uno de los eventos que mas espero cada año es la premiación de los OSCARS, que querramos o no es la vara con que la industria filmica mide la calidad de las producciones cada año. La premiación de este 2023 me tomo desarmado ya que solo habia visto un par de películas nominadas y realmente sabía poco o nada de muchas de las películas que fueron premiadas esa noche. No voy a negar que mi sorpresa fue mayuscula cuando el filme TODO EN TODAS PARTES AL MISMO TIEMPO, arraso y casi logro el pleno completo esa noche, Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Guión Original, Mejor Actriz, Mejor Actor de Reparto y Mejor Actriz de Reparto, solo le falto ganar la estatuilla por el Mejor Actor (Brendan Fraser).
I really like cinema and one of the events I look forward to the most each year is the OSCARS awards, whether we like it or not is the yardstick with which the film industry measures the quality of productions each year. The award ceremony of this 2023 took me unarmed since I had only seen a couple of nominated films and I really knew little or nothing about many of the films that were awarded that night. I will not deny that my surprise was huge when the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, swept and almost achieved the full audience that night, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Actress Cast, he only needed to win the statuette for Best Actor (Brendan Fraser).
De no ser por Michelle Yeoh (Evelyn Wang), cuyo protagonismo en el filme es tan marcado, que no dio cabida a que Ke Huy Quan (Waymond Wang), fuera considerado en el rol de co-estelar, pero si se llevo una merecida estatuilla como actor de reparto. He visto muchas películas a lo largo de mis años mucho mejores que esta y no han estado ni cerca de lograr los premios que consigui «Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo» y no me mal interpretan este filme no es malo, es una muy buena película, pero de verdad que luego de verla (posteriormente a la entrega de los premios) lo primera que se me vino a la mente ¿ es porque carajos gano ?.

Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo, es un filme de acción de artes marciales, por la calle del medio, con mucho comedia, la película explota varios gags comicos que casi solapa a todo lo demas, pero si tiene una carga dramatica importante, y creo que es donde la película trasciende y logra convencer a los miembros de la Academia que la votaron. De que va el filme a grosso modo: Evelyn Wang es un inmigrante China en Nueva York que junto a su esposo regente un lavandería, tiene a una joven hija rebelde, Joy Wang (Stephanie Hsu) que poco le hace caso y la evita, estan metidos en serios problemas de impuestos, así que se dirigen a las oficinas del fisco para tratar con Deirdre Beaubeirdre (Jaime Lee Curtis), esos primeros minutos, son muy lentos, parecia una pelicula familiar donde nos mostraban las dificultades de una familia de inmigrantes.

Hasta que inicia la locura y desata toda la trama, que explica perfectamente el titulo, de alguna manera Evelyn es la elegida para salvar no solo a su mundo si no a todos los mundos, gracias a su esposo Waymond nos enteramos a pedazos de lo que esta pasando en esta realidad y en el resto mundos replicas del nuestro en el universo, si un multiverso, no estaban inventando el agua caliente, tampoco la película en este es innovadora, con mucha comedia vemos a Evelyn y a su esposo enfrentarse a los malos, un ser todopoderoso esta tratando de conquistar todo el universo, y Evelyn debe evitarlo, aquí es cuando aparece el giro que engrandece este filme, el drama subyacente, cuando Evelyn se entera que ese ser que debe aniquilar para salvar a todos no es otra que su hija.

Es allí donde pienso que esta película se lleva los Oscars, Michelle Yeoh, desarrolla a partir de ese momento un profundo drama, porque antes de salvar al mundo ella tratara primero de salvar a Joy, pero sinceramente pienso que le fato mas. ¿ Es un buen filme ?, si lo es, bueno dialogos, excelentes actuaciones, es muy divertida, procaz tal vez, las coreografias de artes marciales son llevadas hasta la irreverencia gracias a un gag comico que introducen desde el principio de las peleas, para acceder a sus poderes en otros mundos, los luchadores deben «Activar» dichos poderes pasando un suiche, que va dese oir una canción especifico, comer algo, o bueno mejor es que lo vean. Me gusto mucho la película, pero luego de ver Babylon, no tengo la menor idea porque la academia premio a Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo.
