Nickel Metal Hydride Battery:

• In a nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) cell, a hydrogen torrent metal alloy behave as an anode and the nickel oxy hydroxide act as cathode.

• At cathode a highly porus substrate that is nickel of the hydroxide is infused.

• The electrolyte is an aqueous potassium hydroxide solution at the end of cell.

• A synthetic non-woven material is used as a separator that separate the two electrodes and behaves as a medium for absorbing the electrolyte.

• During recharging of the battery the cell reaction will be reverse.
  = NiO(OH) + MH -> Ni(OH)2 + M
