Working Of Electrochemical Gas Sensors for NOX :

• Electrochemical sensors for Nox contains two or three electrode.

• The diffusion of gas analyte through filter membrane is done and then finally through the electrolyte on the surface of the sensing electrode.

• Adsorption of analyte gas molecule on the surface of sensing electrode is done.

• Oxidation of analyte on the surface of the sensing electrode and then liberating electrons.

• Desorption of the product from the electrode surface.

• Diffusion of the product away from the reaction zone and then to the electrode.
