I just can't understand one thing, why are all these celebrities leaving twitter? Why are they bothered by what was the norm in 2015 - freedom of speech

maybe because to get people used to the "new normality" where freedom of speech = fake news, to create the belief that platforms that do not censor content are not cool. And then Elon will come up with this application similar to WeChat, which he says here:
where will there be supposedly "new" and "revolutionary" politics and all these puppet "famous people" will encourage people to use it ;]
