Yesterday was Father's day. I so much miss my dad. He left too soon for his heavenly journey and I could never do anything much for him. I pray and hope that wherever he is in heaven now, may he find peace in his world up there. He had a tough life here, but I am sure he has a beautiful life up there. For me my Dad played both the roles of a Father and a Mother and I have huge respect for him and all the sacrifices he made for me and my sister in his life. I just wished that he stayed back more so that I could also do things for him and take care of him.
My Son, celebrated the day very sweetly. He lives in Mumbai and my hubby and I are here in Muscat. He had asked me to arrange for some celebration. I got a cake and flowers for him and then we celebrated the special occasion. My Son was on the video call and we cut the cake together.
Since both of us are not much into sweets, I got a small pastry, so that it would not go waste. The big cakes are a total waste for the 2 of us, we never eat the whole thing and it goes waste. I like to be practical in these matters.
Here is our little celebration
I avoid putting candles on the cake, because of the wax dripping on it.
Our boy is celebrating his special moments. We sang for him Happy Father's day in the tune of Happy Birthday.
Very simple and yet the best moments of life these are. I always believe in celebrating all these days, not that these are the only days when you give importance, but it's always good to feel very special on some days. Just like our birthdays. They do not have to be grand but they need to be celebrated with Love and Joy in whatever way we can.
