Since the last few days all over the social media we are only seeing one thing and that is the Pre wedding celebrations of the Ambani Son, Anant Ambani with another business tycoon daughter Radhika Merchant. It was like the entire Business world and Film Industry was invited for this celebration. More than a wedding celebration it seems to be a business affair. The news say that around 1000 Crore INR was spent on this celebration. Wohoooo, I cannot even count how many zeroes would be there in it.
Mukesh Ambani is now the 11th richest man in the world and so if it is his Son's wedding, I am sure there is going to be a lot of show business and a very grand affair. But still sometimes I feel, however rich you are, is it really worth to have this kind of affair. The celebrations were for 3 days, where they had different themes and the whole event was organized in Jamnagar city of India which is the birth place of Ambani and they have their family home there.
To think of it on one side there are billions of people who sleep hungry daily and are in crises for the basic needs of their life and then on the other side is this grand affair where there is excess of food from which so much goes to waste. I am not against celebrations, but can one not be conscious about their spendings. And then these same people on the top of the pyramid, talk about matters like global warming and depletion of world resources.
Since the last few days all I have been seeing is the Ambani affair on all social media platforms as well as news channels, as if like nothing else is remaining in the world to talk about. Excess money can make people do insane things. This celebration has also been one insane affair which is beyond imagination for so many of us.
