Greetings wonderful Felines and Hoomans of Blurtopia!
Once again, we've arrived at the weekend! I know it's a favorite time of the week for many Hoomans because it means they don't have to do that thing they call "work," but it's also a favorite time for us cats because Saturday means Caturday!
And Caturday means it's that day of the week where we all get to share cat pictures all over the world… for no other reason than we love cats, and cats are — in many ways — the unofficial mascot of the Internet!
Never Gets Boring!
A while back somebody asked me if I didn't get bored with having a blog that was just about cats.
Well of course not!
The Hoomans accidentally left a "Cat Trap" on the floor... and I couldn't help myself!
And I'm not alone in that. Just consider the billions of cat videos that get uploaded to YouTube, and consider the billions of cat pictures that get shared on Facebook and other social media every year.
Of course, being a cat, I know we cats are fabulous… but I think the fascination with cats is more or less timeless and not something you grow bored with.
Otherwise, why would people keep adding more cat content, all the time???
Yes, I have my own teddy bear? What's your point?
Cats on Blurt? Blurtcats!
I know it's early days yet, but it still makes me a little sad that there aren't more cat posts here on Blurt.
I know there must be lots of people who post here who keep cats as pets, and take pictures of their cats… but I'm just not finding that much of it.
Is it because the "social culture" of Blurt is particularly centered around earning more tokens, and people are afraid that using a tag like #cats will reduce their payouts? Is it all centered around calling curators, rather than actually helping with content discovery?
I don't have any answers to that.
But I plan to keep posting cat pictures, using the #blurtcats tag and hopefully in time we'll start seeing more cat content here!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great remainder of your Caturday!

No. 30 of many more to come!
I think you hit the nail on the head there.
Maybe we should increase the limit on the number of tags that can be added to a post. That way people won't be so afraid to actually use the proper tags on top of the tags they think will attract curators.
What they don't realize is that curators don't vote based on tags, or at least they shouldn't in my opinion.
Happy belated Caturday!
