While my yard is drying out after the endless melting of snow, I find myself in my usual musings about global warming and what other surprises the weather and climate in general will bring us. Is it safe to assume that winter is over? Apparently, my trees have already made the necessary conclusions on this matter, because buds have appeared on them!
But cats are cats. I should definitely learn from their lifestyle. They don't bother themselves with global issues at all. All they really care about is that I remember to fill their bowl. I'm not even sure about that, though, because they've never found their bowl empty and can hardly imagine such a situation.
As soon as my yard was no longer covered in puddles my cat Fairy went on an inspection. The first thing she did was check to see if any mice had made a nest somewhere, taking advantage of the absence of a cat patrol. After making sure that everything was normal, she just started enjoying the warmth of the almost spring sunshine.
Während mein Garten nach dem endlosen Schmelzen des Schnees austrocknet, befinde ich mich in meinen üblichen Überlegungen über die globale Erwärmung und welche anderen Überraschungen uns das Wetter und das Klima im Allgemeinen bringen werden. Ist es sicher anzunehmen, dass der Winter vorbei ist? Anscheinend haben meine Bäume bereits die notwendigen Schlussfolgerungen in dieser Angelegenheit gezogen, weil Knospen auf ihnen erschienen sind!
Aber Katzen sind Katzen. Ich sollte auf jeden Fall von ihrem Lebensstil lernen. Sie kümmern sich überhaupt nicht um globale Probleme. Alles, was ihnen wirklich wichtig ist, ist, dass ich mich daran erinnere, ihre Schüssel zu füllen. Ich bin mir jedoch nicht einmal sicher, weil sie ihre Schüssel nie leer gefunden haben und sich eine solche Situation kaum vorstellen können.
Sobald mein Garten nicht mehr mit Pfützen bedeckt war, ging meine Katzenfee auf eine Inspektion. Das erste, was sie tat, war zu überprüfen, ob irgendwelche Mäuse irgendwo ein Nest gemacht hatten, und nutzte das Fehlen einer Katzenpatrouille. Nachdem sie sichergestellt hatte, dass alles normal war, begann sie einfach, die Wärme des fast Frühlingssonnenscheins zu genießen.
Beautiful black cat, we had a black lady cat coming to us for food and has been our daily guest for the past 2 months, and now her brother, or so it seems, a black male cat is coming every day as well for food.
