Finally, after conducting extensive research, you should be prepared to make your decision. Based on the facts you've acquired, choose the job that you believe will provide you the greatest satisfaction. Recognize that you can change your thoughts about a decision at any time in your life. Many people have changed careers at least just a few times.

IDENTIFYING YOUR GOALS

Once you've made your decision, figure out your long- and short-range goals. This helps you plot a course for finally getting work in the field of your choice. Long-term goals normally take between two and five years to achieve, whereas short-term goals can be completed in six months to four years. Let your research on necessary education and training serve as your guide. If you don't have all of the information, do extra research. Set your goals when you've collected all of the necessary information.

CREATE A CAREER ACTION PLAN.

Create a career action plan, which is an official document that outlines all of the measures you need to follow to achieve your goals. Consider it a road map that will lead you from indicate A to B, then to C and D. Make a list of all of your short and long-term goals, as well as the steps you'll need to take to achieve them. Include any potential roadblocks to reaching your goals, as well as strategies for overcoming them.
